Monkey Bar!

So tonight, my friends Elana, Sofia and I went to Monkey Bar and it was very good. It was picked off a random list on Open Table and it was picked because a) we'd heard of it and b) we could get a last minute reservation. If I was a good blogger, I would have taken pictures.........but I forgot. Whoops. So I stole this picture from the NY Times website.

The food was great! We had some appetizers (like grilled tuna with caramelized daikon cakes....I don't know what daikon cakes are....I think maybe they're radishes) and some great salmon and wok seared steak. The decor was very nice and it wasn't so loud that you couldn't hear yourself think (and since I'm an old lady, that's very important to me) but the weird thing was.........the restaurant was totally empty. The bar? Jam packed. No one was eating dinner. And no, it was not 6:30 and yes, it was a Friday night. What gives? They sent us free champagne and free cupcake baskets (I'm really sad I didn't take pictures of them. They were really cute). So....I think you should go there.

There is nothing I would rather find in a basket than a free cupcake. That place sounds awesome.

UGh, I had to get a blog to comment how annoying...

iUnno about this I'm gonna have to break out my old HTML skills and change the format of it all around so it looks nice...

Mmm, for now I was just gonna say that Daikon is kinda like an Asian radish yeah. It's mostly used in Japanese cooking it literally translates to big root.

Anyways, Monkey Bar sounds cool I've heard of it.
